The National Concert Hall

The National Concert Hall is Ireland's most prestigious music venue. The magnificent building was designed in the classical stlye for the great exhibition of 1865. It subsequently became the centre piece of the emerging UCD before its inaguration as Ireland's National Concert Hall on the 9th of September 1981.

The Interior has been refurbished by the Office of Public Works and positively exudes an air of sophistication, boasting a fine collection of contemporary Irish art.The main auditorium can accomodate up to 1,200 people. The adjoining John Field Room or the Carolan Room offer alternative venues for the smaller conference or lecture.
