The Museum of Modern Art
The Collection of artworks owned by or on long-term loan to the Museum comprises works by 20th-century Irish and non-Irish artists. It has been developed by purchase, loans and donations, as well as by the commissioning of new works.

The acquisition policy, like the Museum's temporary exhibition programme, reflects the shifting cultural context of the late 20th-century. The Museum purchases the work of living artists, but accepts loans and donations of more historical art objects with a particular emphasis on work from the 1940s onwards.

To mark the growth and maturity of the Collection, from June 1998 exhibitions from the Collection have occupied the entire West Wing, both First and Ground Floors, with changing displays of recent and earlier acquisitions.

Opening Times:

Tuesday-Saturday: 10am-5.30pm
Sunday & Bank Holidays: 12noon-5.30pm. Closed: Mondays, Good Friday 9th April, 24-26 December.

Admission to the Museum and all exhibitions are free. Guided tours of the North Range are available, free of charge, from 6 July to 19 September
